I made it through the 20 things!! I found several of the "things" helpful & useful, and others not so usefull. It was interesting to hear other coworkers comment on all of the different tasks. Some were very popular, and others not so popular! It was good to have exposure to some things you may be asked about from the public. I also liked the idea of learning on web while at work, and would participate with programs like this again.

I do have one comment... I think all psas and librarians should have participated, not just PSA II and above. It left out a handful of people who listened and observed all other staff participate and collaborate on activities. I think this was unfortunate because it could have benefited these staff members as well.

What is it all about?? I really don't get it, how do people have all this extra time between work, life and all of your responsibilities? I guess if you are into that kind of thing you make the time. Personally I'd rather not use my time that way.

Cool for people who want to spend their life on the computer.

Cute and fun to make! I did recognize our teen librarian on the web page! Very Cute. I don't really see myself using something like this online.

Cool feature if you have the time and energy to find out where to get them and how to work them. Not a format that I would pick to use for myself.

I think this is a great idea. Especially for people who don't have the ability to access these programs from other places. Cool way to save documents without a cd, flash drive or floppy!

search engines

Nice to have some other options than yahoo or google. The results varied a little at each one. So far, I like dogpile the best.

Got it! Tried downloading an audio book and music cd and they both worked fine! I would like to see more access to music files in the future as they become more available.

very cool! I use Kathleen's site all the time at the library. She has links from hers many years of doing reference. I also found a couple of webpages I hadn't known about buy clicking on other people's tags! What a cool way to save all you data and have it be mobile!

I like this idea alot. it is really cool how you can store your photos through a web-based entity. I had my computer crash a year ago and lost all of the photos I had stored on there before my digital camera days. My friends use a variety of websites to send slideshows of their growing families and it is a great way for us to stay in touch!

Very useful....this is definitely one technology I find really useful.

I don't know that I would use this at home. Although I do enjoy getting silly videos from my friends in my email. I'll just wait for them to come to me instead of me looking for them for endless hours on the computer!!

IM Questions

Have you used any other IM programs before?
Were you surprised by anything?
How do you feel about IM as a mode of communication?

This was the first time I used this at work. Several of my coworkers and I sampled a group talk and it was very entertaining. I don't think I will use this as a main mode of communicating because you have to sit at the computer for to long. I don't mind phoning someone or shooting them an email instead,

Too much computer time will rot your brain! I prefer only one media at a time, and lately it seems like we are using several types all at once. I love the new technology, but find I am getting tired of using the computer all of the time. When I go home I can barely check my email because I am done with computer time!! I much rather relax and listen to music, now if only we could find a way to incorporate that into my work schedule!
